

Alejandra Moreno Gonzales of Houston, Texas was born in Harlingen, Texas on August 26, 1928 to Maria and Rosalio Moreno. She departed this life on September 1, 2015 at the age of 87 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s at Courtyards of Pasadena.
“Momma,” “Grandma,” or “OG”, as she was lovingly known to us, spent her life as a caregiver to most, if not all of her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife of 47 years to her husband Roberto, and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had the most generous heart and touched many lives with her presence.
Alejandra was preceded in death by her loving husband Roberto Gonzales, Sr.; her daughter, Irma Gonzales; and sisters, Jesusa Moreno; Bertha Guevara; and brother Alvino Moreno.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, four daughters, two sisters; 24 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Her sons and daughters-in-law are: Roberto, Jr. and Esther Gonzales, Gregorio and Alice Gonzales; and Richard Gonzales.
Her daughters and son-in-law are: Adella and Ruben Benson, Mary Trevino, Rachel Hernandez, and Rosalie Pina.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2015, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. Gregory the Great Church, 10500 Nold Drive, Houston, Texas 77016, with a Rite of Committal following at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
