

Alex was born on September 8, 1996, in Houston, Texas, to Gayle and Bill Dye.
After graduating from Cy-Ridge High School, Alex earned his associate's degree from Lone Star College and then went on to continue his studies at the University of Houston with a focus in computer information systems. He was a senior when he passed.
While in high school, Alex was a member of the Cy-Ridge choir and the school's bowling team. Alex loved to bowl, participating in hundreds of tournaments and bowling in several leagues per week, carrying a 200 average with a high game of 299 and a high 3-game series of 751.He travelled to several states to bowl in the United States Bowling Congress's Junior Gold Championships, tournaments for which he needed to qualify to be able to participate. He earned a gold medal in bowling in the Junior Olympics and was inducted into the Greater Houston United States Bowling Congress Hall of Honor in 2015.
Alex was an Eagle Scout, something he worked very hard to achieve. He liked to cook, go to the beach, and travel. He built two computers and liked to tinker with his cars. He loved to play video games, especially Runescape and Rocket League. He worked in various retail stores and at numerous restaurants as a server where he enjoyed interacting with his customers.
Anyone who knew Alex knew that he loved animals, especially cats. He even helped rescue two 4-week old kittens who were drowning in Lake Conroe. Of course, mom was the one who ended up taking care of them.
Alex was predeceased by his grandparents, Betty and John Carlisle and Margaret and Charles L. Dye, Jr. He is survived by his parents; his brother, Adam; his beloved cats, Kali, Catfish, and Striper; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Windwood Presbyterian Church, 10555 Spring Cypress Road,
Houston, Texas 77070.
