

Alfredo Diaz Gonzales was born on July 9, 1923 in Genoa, Texas to Antonio and Concepcion Gonzales. He is a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran. He was the 10th child of the 12 first generation American Gonzales children. Alfredo D. Gonzales passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 to reunite with his wife Simona Lozano Gonzales.
Alfredo is survived by his 9 children and spouses, 28 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Alfredo and Simona Gonzales were blessed with 65 years of marriage with 10 children (5 daughters and 5 sons). To all who have met Alfredo Gonzales, he was a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a friend, a gardener, and an adviser.
As the Patriarch of the Gonzales family, he taught his children the values of hard work, family, courage to take on challenges, the importance of laughter and unconditional love for on another. These values have been passed down to generation of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A family man, Alfredo Gonzales, installed integrity, hard work, loyalty to his sons and daughters. He took honor as a provider for his family and pride in the family bond he strengthen through the years.
Traditions are built by the transmission of customs, passed by generation to generation. He passed down to us the tradition and values of family. Through that he created countless memories and stories that will last for eternity. “ A man tells his stories so many times that he becomes the stories. They live on after him and in that way he becomes immortal.” Our dad, grandpa, great grandpa, and friend will live for eternity in our hearts and his memories will last for a lifetime.
