Alice Porchia was born on December 26, 1950, in Camden, Arkansas, to Junious and Nettie Porchia, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Ora, Ester, James, Willie Lee, JC, Roy, and Raydean.
Alice was a devoted member of the Rock of Age Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served under the leadership of Rev. Charles Hall.
She attended Lafayette High School in Camden, Arkansas.
Alice was a loving mother, sister, and daughter who dedicated over 30 years of service to The Forum at Memorial Woods Health Care. Her legacy will be cherished by her children: Sharon Smith (Samuel) and Kevin Porchia (Martina); grandchildren: Davante (Mikeisha), Devin, Danasia, Stephon, Darius (Sarah), Kaleb, Kaleice, Brandon and Siyon; great-grandchildren: Davante Jr., Messiah, Elani, Samiya, Saniya and Mikaela; sisters, Maudie, Queen, Birtha and Diana; brothers, Eddie and Rayneal; as well as a host of relatives, friends, and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held for Alice on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home Chapel, 10401 W. Montgomery Rd. Houston, Texas 77088.
