Alva Lee Brumlow, Sr., born to W.L. Brumlow and Nancy Elizabeth Campbell on August 10, 1918 in Hempstead, Texas. He is preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Alva leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife of 77 years (YES 77 years!), Kathryn C. Brumlow; sons: Alva Lee, Jr. (Jeanette), Allen Wayne (Linda); grandsons: Allen Wayne, Jr. (Miroslava) and Lee, III (Margarita); granddaughters: Beverly Blankenship (David), Delena Anderson; great grandchildren: Tristan Brumlow, Amanda Blankenship, Brittany Copeland (Chase), Travis Blankenship and Mia Brumlow. The children and grandchildren are blessed to have their christian influence and prayers guided by Alva. Alva Lee was employed for 40 years and retired to enjoy his horses in Tomball and later in life he was diagnosed with dementia and was comforted by his loyal companion and pet, Pam. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Brookside Funeral Home with visitation to begin at 1PM followed by interment in Brookside Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Emeritus Senior Living and Lighthouse Hospice for their care and compasion given to Alva and the family.
