Ana Maria Lastra

Ana Maria Lastra, 71, of Houston, Tx loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend entered eternal rest on August 15, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born June 28, 1954 in El Chote San Vicente Tancuayalab, San Luis Potosi.

Known for her radiant spirit and infectious love of music and dance, Ana had a remarkable gift for lighting up every room she entered. Her joy was contagious and her presence unforgettable- whether she was dancing to her favorite songs or sharing a warm smile with friends and family. Ana touched many lives with her energy, kindness and unshakable zest for life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her deeply.

She is survived by her 8 children- Laura Sandra Gallardo Lastra (Edgar) of Puebla, Roberto Arquimides Gallardo Lastra of Puebla, Nora Gallardo (Zaul) of Harlingen, Tx, Manuel Gallardo (Nyria) of Houston, Tx, Fernando Gallardo of Houston, Tx, Jessica Marie Olivarez of Houston, Tx, Erica Marie Olivarez (Inmar) of Houston, Tx and Kassandra Silva of Houston, Tx. 17 grandchildren Adrian, Damian, Andrew, Jose (JJ), Christian, Joseph, Izaiah, Ilyanna, Roberto, Aaron, Keanu, Sebastian, Esmeralda, Bianca, Jose, Adonis and Miles.

Also surviving her are 7 siblings Carlos Gonzalez, Ma Elena Lastra Glez, Ma Francisca Lastra Glez, Oristel Lastra Glez, Ma Teresa Lastra Glez, Dora Elia Lastra Glez and Victoria Lastra Glez. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by father Demofilo Lastra, mother Quintina Gonzalez, brother Manuel Hernandez Gonzalez and grandson Matthew Manuel Gallardo.

A visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, located at 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095, on August 23, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue on August 24, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a reception from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
