

Anice Marie Hardin Bullock was born February 10th, 1937 in Ennis, TX and died August 19th, 2013 in Spring, TX. Anice was the only child of Jack and Marie Hardin. She is survived by son Kenneth Lane Barton and daughter-in-law Teresa Barton of Garrison, TX, son Michael Barton of Los Angeles, CA, and daughter Holly Grajales and son-in-law Raul Grajales of Spring, TX. She has three grandchildren, grandson Bradley Barton and wife Farrah Barton of Garrison, TX, Cameron Barton of Garrison, TX, and Gavin Grajales of Spring, TX.
Anice graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, TX in 1955 and from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1958 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Anice began raising her family soon after college. She continued her education while raising three children and working full time as a professional counselor and professor. She believed strongly in the value of education and the spread of knowledge for individuals to achieve their highest potential, and to help the cause of mankind. She received her Masters in Education from Stephen F. Austin in 1967. She was licensed as a professional counselor in 1983, and became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 1992. She received her PhD in 1998 from Texas Women’s University. She dedicated her career to educating and developing her students, and her personal impact on their lives was evident in many ways as she developed lasting friendships with many students.
Her dedication to her family was unwavering and evident in the way she raised her children and cared for her parents and other relatives throughout her life. Her compassion and concern for her fellow man were evident to everyone who knew her. Through her professional and practice she lived a life dedicated to showing empathy and respect to everyone around her. She was a follower of Christ our Lord and holds an eternal home with him.
She is dearly loved by all those she touched and all those who survive her.
