

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Thomas Edward and Mary Alice Plassan Gibbens.
Ann leaves behind a profound legacy marked by her Catholic faith, cherished friendships, and deep devotion to her family. She shared 49 loving years of marriage with her devoted husband, William (Bill) Clyde Freeman III, whom she married on December 28, 1974. Together, Ann and Bill founded Freeman Photography, a family business that they grew and nurtured over 37 years. Their joint vision and dedication allowed them to capture countless cherished moments for families and individuals.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Katherine Kollar, her son-in-law Jeff, and her beloved grandchildren JD and Claire. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol Moffett (Thomas) and Linda Spiller (Jack).
Growing up in Louisiana, Ann cherished her childhood days fishing with her father, a pastime that sparked a lifelong love for family and adventure. Some of her fondest memories were created during lively card games and skiing trips, which were always accompanied by the joy of good company and great wine.
Ann’s vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness endeared her to all who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to celebrate the happiness of others, sharing in the joy and successes of those around her. Whether cheering enthusiastically from the sidelines or beaming proudly from the audience, Ann’s unwavering support and genuine happiness for others touched the lives of everyone around her.

A celebration of Ann’s remarkable life will be held at St. John Vianney on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at 10:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the extraordinary woman Ann Gibbens Freeman was.
