Education:教育
She was a graduate of Hualien Commercial High School (花蓮商職)
Mrs. Anna Ching-Feng Tsau was born in Kwangtung China and moved to Taiwan as a child. Due to family circumstances, she moved frequently between different cities during her youth, which shaped her resilient character. After graduating from Hualien High School of Commerce, she joined Taiwan Land Bank, starting from the ground level and advanced to the highest-ranking managerial Special Commissioner when retired.
In 1971, through a friend’s introduction, Mrs. Anna met Lu-An Pien, who worked at the Joint Commission on Rural Reconstruction. They fell in love, built a family together, and had two sons, Chung-Pei and Chung-Lung. She was dedicated and hardworking in her career, and at home, she was a loving wife and mother. For over fifty years, she and her husband, Lu-An supported each other, growing old together with love and respect. Mrs. Anna took great care of her family—whether cooking, doing laundry, or managing finances, she handled everything with kindness and diligence.
Mrs. Anna was gentle but strong. At work, she was an efficient and disciplined leader, serving as the manager of Land Bank’s South Taoyuan branch and later as the deputy manager of the bank’s credit review department. She retired as a specialized commissioner at the 14th rank. She was organized, fair, and principled, always recognizing and supporting talented colleagues. However, after retiring, she fully embraced a new chapter in life. She let go of her professional role, cleared out her work clothes and bags, and stepped away from workplace connections. She devoted herself completely to family life, enjoying Korean dramas and cooking with passion.
She was once a big fan of Bae Yong-joon, a South Korean drama actor known for his leading roles in popular romance series. She even visited the filming location of the Korean drama Hoteller and Winter Sonata with her best friend and colleague Chiung Ju Yang.
Wanting to fully immerse herself in the experience, Mrs Anna rode a bicycle just like in the drama but accidentally fell and got injured. They also stayed at the hotel, where the Hoteller is filmed and tried their luck at the slot machines in the casino.
After retiring, Mrs. Anna focused on her family and moved to Sugar Land, TX to be with Chung-Lung and Lu-An Pien. At home, she was a loving, gentle, and caring mother and grandmother who always worried about her family. Chung-Lung described her fondly, saying, "She loved cooking, watching political talk shows, and she adored Bae Yong-joon. Recently, she also became a fan of Xiao Zhan, a Chinese actor and singer. Since her eyesight wasn’t as good as before, she enjoyed listening to short stories."
Mrs. Anna and her younger son, Chung-Lung, shared a lighthearted and humorous bond in their daily lives. Chung-Lung doted on his mother, always finding ways to bring her little joys, even sneaking in treats she wasn’t supposed to eat. These small indulgences added happiness to her days. Mrs. Anna deeply appreciated how devoted and caring Chung-Lung had been over the years, always looking after her and Mr. Pien with love and dedication. She, in turn, constantly worried about his well-being. Whenever she returned from Taiwan to Sugar Land, she would carefully pack his favorite foods in her luggage, a small but heartfelt gesture of her beloved son, Chung-Lung.
Mrs. Anna was reserved and never complained, always giving her children unconditional love and support. When Chung-Pei spent nearly ten years pursuing his Ph.D. in Texas A&M university, his family, including HuiMin, and Ci-Peng, lived together in Sugar Land. With six people under one roof, Mrs. Anna was always considerate and caring, ensuring the household ran smoothly. She respected Chung-Pei and Huimin, often preparing extra lunch portions so they wouldn’t have to worry about meals. Her selflessness and kindness allowed them to focus on their studies, work, and raising Ci-Peng, giving their family the strongest foundation of love and support.
Mrs. Anna was a truly gentle and loving grandmother. Throughout Ci-Peng’s childhood, she never once raised her voice at him. She adored him and was always his safe place whenever he needed comfort. She constantly praised him and reminded to create a happy and nurturing environment for him. Her greatest wish was for Ci-Peng to grow up to be a hardworking and responsible young man.
Mrs. Anna was the eldest sister in her family, a kind and respected sibling. Whenever her younger brothers and sisters faced difficulties, she was always there to offer help and guidance, standing by them through tough times. She shared a particularly deep bond with her sister, Mary Tsau, and her family. They cared for and supported each other wholeheartedly.
Mrs. Anna loved cooking, enjoying good food, watching Korean dramas, listening to political talk shows, and traveling. She always brought warmth to those around her. To her family, she was the best sister, wife, mother, and grandmother—caring for everyone with love and wisdom, always by our side.
From a young age, Mrs. Anna was baptized under the guidance of her mother, Jane Bao-Zhen Zhao , and remained a devoted Catholic throughout her life. She lived by her faith, following God’s path and relying on Him in all circumstances. No matter what she faced, she trusted in God and the Holy Mary, Mother of God, always remaining faithful and steadfast.
The Lord, in His mercy, has called Mrs. Anna home to His heavenly kingdom. Though her passing was unexpected, we find comfort in knowing that she now rests in His eternal love. Our hearts are heavy with sorrow, and we deeply miss her warm smile and endless love. But as a family, we want to say to her:
Thank you for your love and all you have done for us. You have worked so hard, and now you can rest peacefully in the Lord’s embrace. Enjoy your favorite dramas, listen to beautiful stories, and cook wonderful meals in heaven. We miss you dearly, but we trust that you are now in God’s loving care. We will take care of one another, look after Father, and keep our faith strong. With hope in God’s promise, we believe that one day, we will reunite in heaven and be together again.
