

Anne M. McDonnell McLaughlin was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania in 1925. After living in Pennsylvania and Bethesda, MD, her family moved to Houston, TX in 1974. The primary focus of her life was as a wife and mother. After their children were raised, she became actively involved in the Houston business community for 17 years. She was the Owner and Manager of Executive Suites and enjoyed working with various American and British companies.
Her beloved husband of 53 years, Dr. Edward J. McLaughlin, died in 2004. Her brother, Dr. William McDonnell and sisters, Janet McDonnell and Joan Vandergrift, predeceased her. She is survived by her children: Ted McLaughlin; daughter and her husband Anne and Dan Fleetwood; her grandson, Justin McLaughlin, wife Sara and great granddaughter, McKenna McLaughlin. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Eileen McDonnell, Haddonfield, NJ. and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and was involved with the St. John Vianney Women’s Club. She was a member of the University of Texas Health Science Center Faculty Wives Organization. She resided at Parkway Place Retirement Community for the past 14 years. (since 1999)
A Memorial service for Anne will be held on March 23, 2013 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church; the Doris Simon Scholarship Fund, University of Texas Medical School at Houston; or the charity of your choice.
