Anthony Eden Familiaran Gerona, 85, of Stafford, Texas went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on September 7th, 2022 in Richmond, Texas.
He was also fondly known as "Lolo, Uncle Tony, Nonoy, or Noy.”
He was born on May 3, 1937 in Isabela Negros Occidental, Philippines to Gualberto Gerona and Aurora Familiaran Gerona. He also attended school in Isabela Negros Occidental. While visiting his sister Joy in Natividad, Pangasinan, he was introduced to his wife Adela Miranda. He married Adela Miranda Gerona on April 1, 1967 in Natividad, Pangasinan. Throughout the years, they travelled all over the world in places such as: China, Canada, and Tokyo, with regular trips back home to the Philippines. They were married for 55 years before he went home to be with the Lord. For higher education, he attended Mapúa Institute of Technology studying Architecture. In the Philippines, he worked at the Bureau of Internal Revenue(BIR). Once he immigrated to the United States, he became a freelance architect. His skills allowed him to design and draft the current home of his daughter, Eydene Sangel. He went to Southwest Calvary Baptist Church for many years, eventually settling at Sugar Grove Church in his final years. In his 60's, he received his massage therapy license and would do at-home appointments and also worked as a security guard at The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. He lived a simple life and was a very kind person who would make you feel like a part of the family. He never missed an opportunity to support and cheer on his loved ones. He loved singing karaoke, playing harmonica, drawing, painting, fishing, bowling, playing tennis, pitching for softball, and playing chess; but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His main passion was to live a life pleasing to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Anthony is preceded in death by his sisters, Filipinas "Pin" Quiogue, Leda "Nena" Alba and Joy "Ting" Zaragoza.
