Antonia J. Basaldua

She met Joe C. Basaldua in Houston, Texas and married on September 7, 1957. Antonia worked as security at Burn, Inc. for 10 years. She had a passion for fishing, hunting, baseball, going to the casinos, spinning tops, rescuing animals, and making homemade tamales.

Antonia was preceded in death her husband, Joe C. Basaldua; daughter, Evangeline Basaldua; sons, Albert J. Lopez, Pete J. Lopez, Ernest J. Lopez, and Danny J. Lopez.

She is survived by her children, Rudy Basaldua Sr., Florence Tristan, Richard Basaldua, and Mary L. Pedraza.

Serving as pallbearers are Rudy Basaldua Sr., Ramiro Pedraza, Richard Basaldua, Joe Joe Basaldua, Rudy Basaldua Jr., and Robert Basaldua.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Steve Tristan and Anthony Basaldua.

A special thanks to Harbor Hospice and mom’s wonderful nurse, Marla Burch. Thank you for taking such good care of mom and helping to make mom’s journey home as comfortable as possible all the way to the end. Thank you again and may God bless you always.

A visitation for Antonia will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service is scheduled to follow and begin promptly at 10:00 AM, in Brookside's Family Chapel; interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
