

A.D. met the love of his life, Karen Ray Robertson in Houston and they married on March 1, 1980. A.D. worked as a machinist at Robertson Industries until his retirement. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 1412. A.D. was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting with his late mother-in-law, Flora Ray and his best friend Buster.
A.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Judson Robertson and Nina Irene Sledge Robertson; brothers, Johnathan Roe, Charles Judson (Bob), Aubrey Ray, Eugene, Benjamin Allen (Bennie) Robertson; twin sister, Martha Gayle Cooper; sisters, Sally Ann Bostian, Margaret Evelyn Williams, and Mary Fennell; mother and father in law, Bruce Howard and Flora Ray.
A.D. is survived by his best friend and soul mate of 44 years Karen Ray Robertson; two children, John Kenneth and James Robertson; grandchildren, John Kenneth Robertson Jr. and Gabrielle Pitre; brothers, James Franklin (Jim) Robertson and Virgil Dean (V.D.) Robertson, Sr.; sisters, Sarah Lakey, Nina Bell Stanley, Dorothy Fennell, Elna Mae Garner, Sherrill Camp, and Ramona Reus; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other cherished family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are James Russell Butler, Trey Coleman Butler, Christopher Chevalier, Nick Haynes, Jerrick Robertson, and Justin Ashorn. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Gary Roberts and Donald Robertson.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ashely Chin, PA Tami Berkenhoff, Dr. Robert Aertker, Dr. Mark Mattauer, and Pinecroft Medical.
A visitation for Arthur will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, Texas 77039.
