Ashleigh Thu Tran (neé Trần Xuân Phương Thu), 54 years of age, peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family, on January 26, 2024, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, Texas.
Ashleigh was known for her joyful approach to life and her knack for connecting people. As her family, we affectionately referred to her as the “broadcaster” because she often shared news of loved ones with us. In this way, she kept all of us connected and cheering for each other’s well-being and happiness no matter where we were in the world.
Her three surviving children will miss her gentle guidance, her infectious laughter, and last but not least, her amazing bánh xèo, flan, and chả giò. Movie nights will forever be different without her humor, commentary, and passion for the suspense and plot twists.
Not only was Ashleigh a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and aunt, but she was also a talented interpreter. In her role at AMN Healthcare, she applied her skills to connecting people through language, cultural understanding, and sensitivity. As with her personal relationships, she contributed to the health and comfort of her clients.
Ashleigh left her mark on this world by leaving it a better place through the legacy of her children. For that, we will forever be grateful for the brief time we had with her, and the memories we will cherish forever.
In honor of her spirit, we make this broadcast:
With sadness, and in celebration of the life she led, we announce the passing of Ashleigh Thu Trần, who began her journey on this earth in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. Her parents are Học Xuân Trần and the late Tuyết Lê Nguyên. She is survived by her three children - Nicole (27), Nicholas (24), and Michelle (22) - as well as her father, three sisters, two brothers, and three nieces. She was always kind, a peacemaker, a fantastic cook, and made you feel welcome in her presence. We love you, Ashleigh.
