

Baby Boy Collins was born on November 15, 1951, in Houston, Texas, to Sibbie and Willie Mae Collins. He later became known by the nicknames “Rudy” or “BB,” names by which he was affectionately called by many.
Rudy attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, where he discovered he loves football and met Deborah Ann Blocker. The two later married and shared three daughters: Rudysia, Tangelia, and Mia.
Rudy began his career as a bus driver with the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority, where he remained faithfully employed until his retirement. He was also the proud father of a son, Rudy Collins (mother, Shirley), and daughter, Tyffani Collins (mother, Tina).
Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Ann Collins; his father, Sibbie Collins; his mother, Willie Mae Collins; his brother, Willie Eugene Fulford; and his sister, Myrtle Claudine Collins.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Rudysia Renee Blocker, Tangelia Sherell Blocker, Mia Dontrell Phillips, Rudy Collins, and Tyffani Collins, son in law; Christopher Phillips, grandchildren; Roderic Siner II, Krysten Phillips Fears, Katelyn Phillips, Kennedy Colson, Collin Williams, and Lauren Collins, great-grandchild; Kenyen B. Fears, siblings: James Fulford, Sibbie Earl Collins, Addie Mae Collins, and Alice Faye Collins, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, located at 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, United States. The service is scheduled for January 16, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
