

She is survived by her only child Everitt E. Lang III and his wife Dana, grandchild Bennett P. Lang, two sisters Mary and husband Charles Barcuch and Patty Knowles, brother Dolen (Scooter) and wife Karen Talley, aunt Tommie Nidositko and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
Barbara graduated from Temple High School in 1962 and attended college at the University of Houston.
She worked as a legal secretary and office assistant for over 40 years and owned a childcare center in Houston, Texas. She worked diligently to own a custom sewing business – her dream.
In addition to raising her only child, she also taught children’s choir and was an active member of her church choir and hand bells for many years.
Barbara’s passions were music, sewing and spending time with her only grandchild who affectionately referred to her as “BMama”. Barbara was a devoted Christian, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family and friends will always remember her creativity, hard work ethic, laugh and sense of humor.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Houston’s First Baptist Church-Chapel, 7401 Katy Freeway on Thursday, August 1, 2013 and a memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her name to The American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association.
