Born on September 15, 1953 in Houston, Texas, to John Cowley Rhodes and Evelyn Jean Montgomery, Barbara exuded class in everything she did. She was known for her overall beauty inside and out, her willingness to always add another seat at the dinner table, her carefree attitude, and acceptance of everyone. She spent her life dedicated to family, sewing, cooking, gardening, fashion, traveling, and her career.
She is survived by her daughters, Renata (Aaron) King and Emily (Jim) King, her grandchildren Richard Holland and Jeanette King, many cousins, and her beloved dachshunds. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Steven Joel Rhodes, and her granddaughter, Lily Jeanette Holland.
A funeral service will be held on April 24, 2026 at 3pm at Pat H. Foley & Company 1200 W 34th St, Houston, TX 77018. All are welcome who appreciated and cared for Barbara and who will bring positivity and joy to the day.
