Barbara J. Schlauch

Barbara Schlauch went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday Nov. 26, 2014 at 12:03 PM. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Foster Schlauch, her parents: Audey and Georgia Mae Perkins, her sister: Jo Ann Messick and Nephew Chris Henson.

She is survived by her children- son Michael Schlauch, daughter Karen Gonzalez and husband Danny, son David Schlauch and wife Sharon, son Randy Schlauch and wife Kathy. Also 5 grandsons: Michael Schlauch and wife Jama, Christopher Rincon, Dustin Schlauch and wife Stephanie, Curtis Schlauch, and Joey Rincon. 1 granddaughter: Shyanne Schlauch. And 3 great granddaughters: Audrey, Maddie, and Haddlie Schlauch. 1 sister, Sandra Henson. Nieces and Nephews: Lori and Geoff Lee, Greg Messick, Brad and Tonya Henson, Kin Meyenburg, Kari and Michael Garza, with many cousins and friends.

She was born April 14, 1937 in Hobart, Oklahoma, to farmers Audey and Georgia Mae Perkins. She was the oldest of 3 sisters, graduated from Mt. Park High School, and then went to Wichita Falls Business School. She later married the love of her life Marvin Schlauch and settled in Houston, TX in 1972. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Alief. She fought with the battle of breast cancer since 1993. Went to Branson, MO with her church family on Nov. 12 for a fabulous getaway and really enjoyed it.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home 12800 Westheimer Rd Houston, TX on Thursday Dec. 4 from 4-7 PM. Services will be held at Forest Park Westheimer on Friday Dec. 5 at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300 Frisco, Texas 75034.

She will be dearly missed and loved forever. Always in our hearts.
