Barbara Ann Wheeler

Barbara Ann Wheeler of Houston passed away peacefully on Friday, the 22nd of July , 2016. Barbara was born May 6, 1941 in Anadarco, Oklahoma. She moved to Houston with the love of her life Roy "Dale" Wheeler in 1960, with whom she enjoyed 53 years of marriage.

Barbara was passionate about her work within the Property Tax Industry for over 45 years. As founder and CEO of Wheeler & Associates, Inc. She considered her passion a ministry. Barbara's leadership and mentorship provided the education and opportunity for many independent Tax Assessors to successfully blaze their own trail. Her contributions have given life, breadth and depth to the message and vision of every organization she gifted with her talents. She will be deeply missed.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Dale. She leaves behind her dedicated son Leo David Wheeler; and her loving daughter Catherine Marie Wheeler.

"Mim" is also survived by her grandchildren Magen Elissa Fortner and husband Ryan; Micah Wheeler, Noah Wheeler; Thomas Fischer and Kimberly Fischer. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren: Holden Fortner and Isla Fortner.

Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Houston First Baptist Church located at 7401 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas where the service is to commence at 12:00 p.m.
