Bernard Bartkowiak

Bernard Joseph Bartkowiak, 82, of Houston went to be with his Lord Monday, January 31, 2011. He was born June 17, 1928 in Chappell Hill, TX to Ike and Sophie Bartkowiak. Bernard is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Carolyn Bartkowiak; 1 grandson John Bartkowiak, 1 brother Leonard Bartkowiak. Bernard is survived by his loving children, David Bartkowiak and wife Patricia, Kenneth Bartkowiak and wife Marilyn, Donna Pryor and husband Stanley; 3 brothers, Johnny, Victor, and Raymond Bartkowiak; 1 sister, Florence Kocich; 5 grandsons, Jason, Michael, and Darrell Bartkowiak, James, and Jacob Pryor; 1granddaughter, Jeana Bartkowiak; 3 great-grandchildren, Tori, Taylor, Erin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2011 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Ln., Houston, TX 77037. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
