Bernice “Bunnie” Ann Doyle born December 7, 1944 in Portland, Maine and passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. She was raised in Smithtown, New York and moved with her family to Texas in the 1970’s and began working at Houston Northwest Medical Center and later at Tomball Hospital where she became a friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Doyle; mother and father, Mary and Franklyn Steele; and brother, Francis “Frank” Anthony Steele. Mrs. Doyle is survived her daughter, Deirdre Doyle-Poole and husband, Michael Poole; son, Kevin Doyle; granddaughters, Chloe Doyle and Alaina Poole; sister, Mary Ellen Valentino and husband, Jimmy; sister-in-law, Joan Steele and numerous nieces and nephews. Bunnie was loved by everyone who knew her.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North in Houston. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston.
