She was born in Lufkin, TX on January 5, 1933. Bernice attended, but did not graduate from Reagon High School.
She was married to Marvin G. Casper from 1953 until 1993 when he passed away. She later married Douglas Kridner in 1998.
Bernice worked as a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell and Spring Branch School District as a cafeteria cook.
She had a passion for dancing, people and 8 Liners.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Douglas Kridner; children, Marvin Ray Casper (Pat), Sherry Whisenant (Bobby); step-children, Billye Smith (Aubrey), Jason Kridner (Christi); 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren (1 on the way), 16 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cousins.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5PM-8PM and funeral service on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
