Beth White

Elizabeth Ledesma White, BSN, RN, CVRN, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2013. Beth was born in Baclod City in the Phillippines on December 16, 1957. She attended school at the University of the Philippines as well as St. Paul College, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing on March 15, 1980. One of her proudest accomplishments was receiving her Registered Nurse Form from the Board of Nurse Examiners in Texas on March 18, 1983. She then worked as a nurse at several hospitals in Victoria and Houston. She was also awarded Level II CVRN status in 2007. Beth met the love of her life, John Drew White Jr., and they were married on February 16, 1990 in San Antonio, Texas. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Rachel Ashley White into their family, which later included a beloved family dog, Armani White.

Beth is preceded in death by her father, Everardo Ledesma. She is survived by her loving husband, John; daughter, Rachel; her mother, Estrella Ledesma; and her siblings, Emmeline, Elsa, Everardo Jr., Eric, and Elaine.

Beth loved to cook and entertain. She was always known as the party planner and also had a taste for interior design and shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and serving those in need throughout her medical career. She will always be remembered for her helping spirit and caring passion.

Visitation will take place from 6pm-8pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Monday, August 5, 2013. Funeral services will take place at 12:30pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 with burial to follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery is located at 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas, 77079.
