Bettie Fae McGrew

Bettie Fae McGrew was born on a September 23, 1938 to Jim and Ethel Square in Gladstell, TX. She accepted Christ at an early age. Bettie lead a career as cook at Villa Northwest for many years until retirement.

On December 29, 1980, she joined James Eddie McGrew in holy matrimony and remained committed to him until his passing. Though she had no children, she was a very devoted aunt and sister. She cared for a number of children which included nieces, nephews, and children around the neighborhood. She loved being told she was everyone's auntie and would often allow new faces to refer to her as such.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ethel Square, all of her brothers, one sister, her husband, James, two nieces, and three nephews whom she held dear to her heart.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her sisters, Sarah Phillips and Mattie Clay both of Humble, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, god children, family and friends.

A visitation for Bettie will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
