Betty J. Rhodes

Betty moved to Houston in 1947 and married Wesley Rhodes on January 7, 1950. They had three children; Wesley Ray Rhodes (Dusty), William Rusell Rhodes (Rusty) and Susan Renee Rhodes. She leaves behind Seven grandchildren; Dustin, Wendy, Joan and Renee Rhodes, Joshua and April Hess and Amanda Rhodes, sons-in-law; Raymond Hess and Keith Andres and daughters-in-law; Beverly, Carrie and Anne Rhodes as well as four great grandchildren.

Betty had amazing faith and an everlasting love for Jesus and for her family. She loved cooking for her family on all the big holidays like New Year’s, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthdays. She loved to go shopping and liked watching Dr. Charles Stanley, Hardball with Chris Matthews and politics of all kinds. Betty was a true angel sent from heaven and leaves us with many wonderful memories. She will be truly missed by her family and her beloved friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 12:30pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
