Betty Jean Shea, 74 of Friendswood, Texas was born January 17, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Sidney Maurice and Roxie Fern Payne Bear and passed away at her home on Thursday, October 19, 2023. She was a loving wife to John during their 36 years of marriage taking care of each other and the flowers and pets that she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Naomi Matthews Mann and brother, Sidney Maurice Bear, Jr. and, she is survived by her husband, her nieces, Kathy Lay and Connie Sipp along with nephews, Sidney Maurice Bear, III and Mark Matthews and her father-in-law, whom she was very fond of, Robert E. Shea.
Graveside services will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
