Betty West was born and raised in Houston Texas on February 3, 1937. She was extremely protective of her family and loved them with her entire being. She was also a dedicated animal lover who was always rescuing and feeding stray dogs. She always said “If I ever win the lottery I am buying land to have an animal rescue”.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William West; brothers, Charles Short, Harold Short and Horace (Cotton) Short; son, Michael Meguire; grandson, Travis Meguire; and great granddaughter, Brooklyn Worley.
Betty is survived by her daughters; Trina Hoot and Husband Jack, Claudia Holloway; grandchildren, Jeremy Meguire, Timothy Meguire and wife Claudia, Gary Meguire III and wife Chistina, John Holloway, Joey Holloway, Robert Worley and wife Sarah, Peggy Worley, Johnathan Worley, David Hoot, Melissa Hoot, and Chistopher Hoot; great grandchildren, Lucas Meguire, Ian Worley, Cassidy Worley, Sydney Worley, Wyatt Worley, Kaitlyn Douglas, Caleb Bennett, Katie Worley, Cameron Worley, Aiden Simmons and Sage Worley.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Worley, Johnathan Worley, Sydney Worley, Katie Worley, Jeremy Meguire, and James Lyles.
