

Bill was born on July 27, 1930 in Kingsville, Texas, to Woodman W. Foster and Sara Isabel Cude Foster. Bill graduated from Pearsall High School. In 1954, he graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Pharmacy. Bill served in the military medical core until 1956.
Bill married the Love of his life, Joleen Huddleston on August 21, 1953. They were married almost 62 years. They originally lived in Austin, Texas until he graduated from college. They settled in Castroville, Texas where he owned the Castroville Drug Store for over 35 years.
In Castroville they raised three children; Brett Foster, Gene Foster and Tita Foster.
Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge for approximately 60 years. He was a lifelong Christian and sang in the choir from the time he was 12 years old. He sang Bass in quartets and trios wherever he was.
Besides sharing his singing talents in church, Bill enjoyed country and gospel music; playing the guitar; flying airplanes and riding motorcycles with his children.
Bill will be especially remembered for the life time of his pharmacy career where he cared for the young and old, night and day, whenever he was called. He was an active Pharmacist for 56 years, finally retiring when he was almost 80.
Survivors include; his wife, Joleen Foster and children, Brett Foster, Gene Foster (Denise), Tita Foster Scott; Sister, Lora Fay Whiddon and Sister-in-law, Barbara Beever; Grandchildren, Taryn Foster Hogan (Ed), Christopher Foster (Vanessa), Stuart Foster, Drew Foster, Katie Scott, Hanna Foster, Dean Foster; Step Grandchildren, Christopher James, Desi, Jackie and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Lakeway Baptist Church, 5801 FM 1960 E., Humble, Texas 77346.
