He was an avid hunter and loved being in the woods of East Texas. During his life, he served in many different capacities, including being a milkman, welder and sheet metal mechanic. Perhaps his favorite occupation was that of a long haul truck driver, and he retained a passion for traveling throughout his life.
A beloved husband of 62 years, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he was deeply loved by his family of 40-plus members.
A hard worker, he was universally respected by his peers, many of whom kept in touch with him years after working together. He passed on his knowledge of sheet metal work to his sons, grandsons, and others.
A big-hearted man, Billy helped countless people throughout his life. His tall tales and sayings entertained us all and brought to life all the characters he knew.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi; sons: Robert and wife Luci, Charles and partner DeAnna; daughters: Kathy Ross and husband Richard and youngest daughter, Brenda Sisney; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; surviving siblings including: Orville McMullen, Ferrell (Cootsie) Williamson and Jerry McMullen.
He was known by many names: Dad, Uncle Billy, PawPaw, Mac, Billy Mac and a few we can't repeat. But by whatever name he was called, he was the same remarkable man we loved and respected. He will be truly missed.
