

Bobbie Jean Parham, 83, of Houston, Texas entered into rest on January 13, 2019. She was born in Gatesville, Texas on December 7, 1935 and graduated from Merced High School in Merced, California on June 11, 1954 with Honors.
Later that summer while working at her uncle’s insurance agency in South Texas, she met and then married Ted Parham on September 24, 1954, later divorcing September 2, 1982.
Bobbie worked in the farming and ranching industry while married. Afterwards she moved to Houston and worked a wide array of administrative positions, including several years as the Court Clerk for Hunter’s Creek Village. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Bobbie had a passion for singing, dancing, hiking, nature, reading, and watching old movies, court TV, and the SYFY Channel. She was also a remarkable seamstress and loved to crochet and needlepoint.
Bobbie is survived by her children Mark Parham of Magnolia, James Parham (Kay) of Houston, Vicki Waggoner (Mark) of Houston; granddaughters Karen Parham Verschoor, Maegan Waggoner, Valerie Waggoner; great granddaughters Bailey McKinney and Colleen McKinney; and brother Roy Lee Holt.
A Gathering will be held in her honor on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. inside the Chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. The Celebration of Life Service will commence at 2:00 p.m. inside the Chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home.
