

Bobby Judd Glass, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the age of 92. He was born in Marlin, Texas on July 22, 1932 and cherished his childhood days there, playing quarterback on the football team, playing basketball and running track in high school. After graduating from Marlin High School, he went to Sam Houston State University before joining the United States Air Force in 1952 and serving for four years. He then began his career in the finance business and worked in that field until his retirement in 2009. Along with his work, he served on the board of the RV/Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana.
Bobby was married to his loving wife Jackie for 21 years. They were always on the go, seeing a lot of the world and traveling to support various family members in equestrian and cheer competitions as well as high school and college football games. He loved sports and attended many Astro, Texan, and University of Houston games through the years.
Bobby is survived by his wife Jackie; son Kyle(Liz); daughter Melanie(Gayland LaFitte); grandchildren, Cortney(Todd Sprayberry), Stephanie(Scott Bassett), Melanie(Billy Zipps), and Kelly Creel; brother-in-law Marc Glazer; nephews, Steve Glass(Lauren) and Keith Gruenwald; nieces, Gail Glass(Robin Waterhouse), Kim Gruenwald, and Kristi Cato(Jim); cousin Leighton Glass; extended family Dana Poleman(George), Jason Veach, and Jordan Luker(Chris), and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judd and Abbie Glass; brother, Wesley Glass and sister, Barbara Glazer.
The family would like to thank the staff at Seasons Assisted Living and Memory Care for their loving care during Bobby’s time there.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, May 13 at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas. Afterward, there will be a reception at the facility from noon to 2:00 pm.
