Borda started dancing when she was five years old and went on to dance professionally throughout her college years. She was a member of American Guild of Variety Artists and Dance Masters of America. Borda opened her own dancing school in Texas City and League City, Texas, where she taught dancing from ages 14 to 25.
Borda graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston in 1947, where she was voted most popular senior girl and head cheerleader. Borda was an active member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. In 1979 and 1980, she was President of her sorority Zeta Tau Alpha Alumnae. After A.B.’s retirement, they traveled extensively and lived a dream life being blessed in so many ways with family, friends, and memories. Borda’s capacity for love, her devotion to family, her strength of character and graciousness were all wrapped up in an easy smile and softness of heart that endeared her to everyone she met.
