

Born and raised in Tennessee, Brandy was the daughter of Anna Tapp, who instilled in her strength, independence, and compassion. Later in life, Brandy met her father, William Nelson, and his family, who embraced her with love and helped her discover where her bright and joyful spirit came from. She was also deeply inspired by her siblings, including her older brother, Orrick Curry, who encouraged her to join the military in Brownsville, and her sister, Callandra Tapp, whose support and motivation pushed her to pursue greater goals and new beginnings.
Brandy proudly served her country for 20 years as an officer and Physician Assistant in the United States Air Force. During her distinguished military career, she was stationed in South Dakota, Illinois, Maryland, Georgia, South Korea, and Texas. Her leadership, skill, and compassion defined her service and earned her the respect of everyone who served alongside her.
Brandy was married for 20 years, and through that union she built a beautiful family that became the foundation of her life. She continued her journey with grace, strength, and a deep love for helping others.
After retiring from the Air Force, Brandy expanded her passion for care and confidence by launching her own medical aesthetics business, Tapp Into Brandy. She blended her medical expertise with her creative spirit, helping her clients feel beautiful inside and out.
Brandy was also a beloved Houston influencer who had a natural ability to connect people. She formed genuine relationships with local businesses, creatives, and her community through her warmth, authenticity, and generosity.
Above all, Brandy was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Anna and Antonette Perry, and a loving grandmother. Her family was the center of her life. One of her most cherished memories was traveling to Hawaii with her daughters, a place that brought her peace and joy. She shared that it would one day be her final resting place.
Brandy will be remembered for her kindness, faith, and radiant energy. She lived fully, loved deeply, and inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her light continues to shine through her family and the many lives she touched.
