Brenda K. Meador Nink, age 67, of Richmond, Texas went to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday March 15, 2020 from a ruptured aneurysm. Brenda was born September 11, 1952 in Odessa, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, Aubrey Meador and her husband, Carl Nink. Her memory will be carried by her mother, Romaine McAllister and her husband Jessie, sister Linda Brittingham and her husband, Mike, sister Joye Brown and her husband Roger, her nieces Cathryn Springob and her husband Tarn, and Rebecca DeVeaux and her husband John, and her great nieces and nephews Lauren Lucas and her husband Jordan, Kirsten Springob, Keller Springob and John Aubrey DeVeaux and her beloved pup Jojo. She is also mourned by her beloved Nink family and countless friends and extended family.
Brenda was raised in the Texas panhandle. Her family moved to Houston when she was 9. She graduated with honors from MacArthur High School. She worked as a manager at Teneco for several years. She then worked the courtesy booth at McBrides Grocery Store where she met her husband, Carl Nink. They were married on December 30, 1995 in Houston. Soon after, they moved to Smithville, Texas for over 20 years. After Carl passed, Brenda moved to Richmond, Texas to be close to her family and to help care for her mother and stepfather.
She did not have any children of her own, but "Auntie" was her favorite title. She helped raise Cathryn and Rebecca from the time they were in elementary school. She was always her happiest when she had a niece or great niece or nephew in her arms. She loved getting on the floor and playing whatever game or activity they asked of her, whether it was playing dolls or coloring for hours. She never said no or I’m too busy, it was always 'of course! what do you want to do?' These last four years since she moved to Pecan Grove were so special. Brenda said how lucky she felt to be a constant presence in the lives of Lauren, Jordan, Kirsten, Aubrey and Keller. She treasured getting to be there for them and celebrate their achievements and to have the close relationship with them that she had with Cathy and Becky.
Brenda was truly one of God's angels here on Earth. She was saved and baptized at the age of 8 at First Baptist Church in Borger, TX. Her father told her he thought she was too young to truly understand what it meant. She told him she wanted to go to heaven too. Her pure faith and love of God never wavered; it only grew stronger. She loved her church family both at Sugar Land Baptist Church where she joined in 2017 and First Baptist Church in Smithville where she was a member for over 20 years. She was an enthusiastic and joyful member of the choir. She practiced tirelessly to praise the Lord to the best of her ability.
