Brian Busby was born on April 1, 1977, to Lloyd Busby and Debbie Ware. As their firstborn, Brian was a special blessing to his family. He was obedient, kind, and deeply loved by everyone who knew him. From an early age, Brian enjoyed simple moments, like watching the evening news with his grandparents, Fred and Erma Mack. Especially the weather forecast, which quickly became his favorite segment.
Brian had an incredible gift for giving accurate directions. Whether navigating around Houston or guiding his family on vacations, he could always be counted on to find the way. His joy came from helping others, even in something as small as providing directions, and this giving spirit would define his life.
He grew up in Galena Park ISD and discovered his love for music while playing the trumpet in middle school. Brian went on to join the Sound of Thunder Marching Band at North Shore High School, where he graduated in 1995. Afterward, he attended San Jacinto Junior College, studying theatre technology. He found great joy in being part of stage arrangements and the behind-the-scenes work that brought performances to life.
Brian began working at the young age of 16. His first job was at Gerland’s, where he demonstrated a strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to his family. Later, he began a lifelong career with GardaWorld Security, where he faithfully served for more than 25 years.
Outside of work, Brian was passionate about sports and proudly cheered on his hometown teams, the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, and Houston Texans. He also loved to travel, visiting many states across the country, and was always eager to share a good meal while enjoying the company of family and friends.
For Brian, family meant everything. He delighted in spending time with his loved ones, often loading his niece and nephew into the car after work for late-night food runs, creating memories filled with love and laughter.
Brian’s faith was the foundation of his life. He loved the Lord deeply and was a devoted member of Fallbrook Church, attending Sunday services and Wednesday evening Bible study. He was a compassionate listener who always had encouraging words for those around him. His heart for helping others shone through in every aspect of his life, leaving a lasting impact on all who were blessed to know him.
Brian will be remembered for his servant’s heart, his unwavering love for family and friends, and his steadfast faith in God. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and encouragement will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Brian will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Erma Mack and John and Vernia Mae Busby.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Debbie (James) Ware and Lloyd (Bobbie) Busby; his siblings, Brent Busby, Brendon (Lourdes) Busby, Brittani Busby, Jeramey Ware, Sherice (Steve) Garner, James (Kizzy) Ware Jr., Marcus (Samira) Ware, Latonia Holmes, Casander (Cedric) Henry, and Eric August; his great-aunt Clarice Clemons; and his aunt/cousin Cheryl (Albert) Gaw.
