Bruce Sanford Eidson, 57, of Houston, passed away at his home Friday, March 31, after a long illness. He is survived by his mother, Janice Eidson of Huntsville, Texas, a brother, Richard and his wife Bonnie Eidson of San Antonio, a sister, Patricia Hudson and her husband Keith, nieces, Kristin Messerotes of San Marcos, Erica Stout of San Antonio, and nephews, Alex and Andrew Eidson of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his father, Bert J. Eidson.
Bruce graduated from Lamar High School, Houston, and attended North Texas State University where he majored in music. He was employed by Gemeg Oil Company and for the past several years by Marble Slab Creamery, now Global Franchise Group, as Senior Construction Project Manager.
He was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church of Houston and was involved for many years and traveled extensively with their bell choir, The Prime Chimers.
Services will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm on Monday, April 4, with services and burial at the cemetery at 10 am. Tuesday, April 5. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to American Hospice of Houston.
