Caliste Bertrand

Carliste Bertrand better known as Bergie, was born on October 16, 1957 in La Plaine, Dominica to the late Andrew Bertrand and Juliette Jane Bertrand. On April 24 1984, Carliste married Phyllis (Meyon) Bertrand (nee Douglas/ Hurtault) also of La Plaine. He was the loving father of Bernilia, Kenton, Khyva Bertrand and Carla Williams, grandfather of Kacie and Julian and father-in-Law of Chavis Williams.

Carliste and Phyllis established their family home in La Plaine where they raised their Children. They were well known and loved in the community. In 1999, Carliste migrated to St. Thomas U.S.V.I, and then to Houston, TX with his wife and children in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his Father Andrew Bertrand, Mother Juliette Jane Bertrand, Brother James Damas Bertrand, Brother Churchill Lander, Brother-in-law Kelly Lestrade, Brother in-law David Vigilante and Nephew-in-law Bayo Ajet.

He leaves to mourn:
