

Frances Camille Webre Tichenor, passed away peacefully on Friday, the 11th of July 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on the 18th of November 1944, in Houston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Iris Paine and Lloyd Posey Webre.
She is survived by her devoted husband, James Tichenor; her brother, Lloyd "Butch" Webre, Jr. and his wife Nancy; and her sisters, Mary Iris Webre, and Roberta Webre Rude and her husband David all of Houston.
Mrs. Tichenor was the cherished mother of three daughters, Iris Tichenor Allen and her husband Nathan of Houston, the late Elizabeth Tichenor Greening, wife of Robert Greening of Dallas; and the late Mary Tichenor Metzinger. She was also a loving and proud grandmother to Amy Metzinger, William Greening, Rachel Metzinger, Camille Greening, Charlie Allen, Graham Allen, and James Allen.
A respected businesswoman, Mrs. Tichenor was a shareholder and active board member of Texas United Corporation and its family of companies. She was deeply engaged in civic and cultural life, and a member of numerous distinguished organizations including the Rose Society, River Oaks Garden Club, The Blue Bird Circle, the Lady Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Briar Club, and the Houston Yacht Club.
Camille was known for her taste, wisdom, and unwavering support of those around her. She was a loving and trusted friend and advisor to many—especially to her family and business associates—and her presence, guidance, and generosity will be profoundly missed by all who had the honor to know her.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 18th of July, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The Mass of Christian Burial is to be celebrated at twelve o’clock noon on Saturday, the 19th of July, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, where Fr. Stephen B. Reynolds is to officiate.
The Rite of Committal is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.
