

Carl Lee Harris, 72, was born October 2, 1941 and passed away on February 2, 2014. He is predeceased by his parent Vera Mae Wymer and Carl Leverne Harris, along with his five brothers and sisters – Helen Myers, Wayne Harris, Joann Notheis, Marvin Harris, and Todd Harris. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Marion, his daughter Sandi Harris, and daughter and son-in-law Linda and Robert Churay, his only grand-daughter, Mary Frances Churay as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Carl was a member of the Scottish rite, Masonic Lodge, and Shriners International and was a past president of The Houston Contractors Association. His whole life, Carl was involved in the construction industry. He was employed many years ago at E.L. Harris Construction with his uncle, cousins and other family members. Eventually he was a co-owner in Brown- Harris Construction, and in later years was in business with his youngest brother, Todd, at Brazos River Constructors. He has been retired the last 6 years.
He loved nothing more than fishing at Port O’Connor, hunting, running his two dogs Lucky and Ace, planting fruit trees and rose bushes on his 10 acres, and being with his close friends on Tuesday afternoons each week.
A visitation and funeral will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Visitation will be at 9:00am, the service at 10:00am. A reception will follow at T.E. Harman Center, 226 Matlage Way, Sugar Land, Texas, 77478 at approximately 12:00pm following a short cemetery visit.
