

Carman Enoch Sensky, age 80, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in Houston, TX of complications due to Alzheimer’s. Carman was born March 11, 1933 in Washington, Pa. Carman’s career in coal mining sales took Carman and his family from Washington to Ashland, KY; Flatwoods, KY; St. Clairsville, OH; Bristol, TN and to Knoxville, TN where Carman, Jean and family lived for 32 years. In his later years the effects of Alzheimer’s took Carman and Jean to Houston, TX where they have lived with family. In his younger years, Carman was active in sports including football and wrestling. Carman was a member of the West Virginia University wrestling team during his years there. He continued his interest and participation in sports by coaching youth football for a number of years. Carman proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army during which he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Purple Heart Medal. Carman was preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Edith Wasseloff Sensky; and his son, Ronald Gene Sensky. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean Teegarden Sensky; his son, Carman Sensky and wife, Becky; daughter, Marla Sensky Wilkerson and husband, Michael; son, Scott Sensky and wife, Laura; his sister Marian, as well as his grandchildren Morgan Sensky Gillenwater and husband, Brandon, Chase Sensky, Kirstie Thomas and husband Henry, Megan Venitez and husband, Jeff, Destin Sensky, Dalton Sensky, Haley Sensky and his great grandchild, Reily Gillenwater. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 1:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25 in the Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
