Carmen served as Music Director of the Spanish Choir at St. Jerome Catholic Church for over thirty years and often directed at bilingual parish celebrations. A devout Marian, Carmen and her son, Pablo, co-directed the Coro Arquidiocesano Guadalupano for twenty-five years at yearly celebrations of Our Lady of Guadalupe for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
