Born on December 26, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Georgia Mae "Bertha" (Guerrero) and Hector Lee Davis, Carmen graduated from Regan High School. While visiting her brother, Charles R Davis Sr., in Colorado Springs, Colorado she met her future husband, Toxie W White Jr., who was stationed there.
They were married in Houston on February 7, 1960 and began their life at Fort Brooke Army Base, Puerto Rico.
Carmen and Toxie had her first child, Todd Anthony in September 1961 and shortly moved back to Houston 4 months later. Their daughter, Charlotte Rene' was born in March 1963. Working for SBC (Service Bureau Corporation, an IBM company) in Houston, Toxie's job took the family to Dallas where they bought a home in Irving, Texas. They were relocated to San Jose, California for 2½ years and moved back to Irving after leaving SBC.
Carmen began working for Titche-Goettinger's (Titche's), part time, in 1974. After leaving Titche's she became the Assistant Manager at the Beltline Dairy Queen in Irving before moving to Houston in 1980.
She worked at several locations for Twin Oaks Dry Cleaners until she retired in 2001.
Carmen was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha, her step-father, Tony Frausto, brother, Charles Davis Sr., and daughter, Rene' Creel.
She is survived by her son Todd of Houston; granddaughters April Creel of Gainesville, Texas and Amber Creel of Whitesboro, Texas; great granddaughters J'Lee, Jaida and Jeorja Barnette; great grandsons Preston Creel and Samuel "Sam" Villalobos and two great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
