Carol Ruth Dodd, 73 of La Porte, Texas was born March 18, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas to John Woodrow and Rae Del Barber Dodd she was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt; she loved to paint watercolors and was a beautiful singer in the church choir. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pasadena and was a paralegal for over 25 years before retiring. She enjoyed singing in the Christmas pageants at the church; a Star Trek fan and enjoyed watching Magnum PI. She had a great sense of humor and taught Sunday school. One of her favorite things was her love for cats.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Dodd; her niece, Heather Perry along with her husband, better known as the favorite nephew, Don Perry; her niece, Michelle Dodd and other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Rae Dodd.
Graveside services will be held 3:00pm, Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
