She married John William Galeener in 1970 and they remained married until he passed in 2009. Carol was a long-time executive at Exxon-Mobil, Florham Park and Houston, and post-retirement received her PhD in Public Health and worked as Adjunct professor at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for many years. Always dedicated to learning and educating, she was still employed at the time of her death.
Her deep Catholic faith guided every chapter of her life, offering comfort, purpose and a foundation of love that she freely shared with others. She was the kind of friend who comes only once in a lifetime – steadfast, generous, and always ready to help anyone in need without hesitation.
Carol Ann is survived by her daughter, Catherine Marie Chisholm; and her three grandchildren, Leah Noelle, Kelly Camille, and Charlotte Avery.
A memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 9th of January, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
Immediately following all will be invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the adjacent grand foyer.
