Carol Madeline Gordon, 89, born June 19, 1935, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on February 24, 2025, with her daughters by her side. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Carol moved to Houston and had a career supporting executives in the Oil & Gas industry. She met her husband Jim and together they raised their three daughters. Carol was an avid bridge player and enjoyed participating in multiple bridge groups where she met dear friends. She loved playing games with family and friends and cherished family gatherings filled with laughter and love.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Jean Mladenka and husband David, Brenda Gordon, Susan Bartlett and husband Peter; grandchildren, Matthew Mladenka, Hudson Bartlett, Grady Bartlett, and Jake Henry Bartlett; her sister, Patricia Williams and husband Charlie; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Gordon and her parents Anita and Clarence Hardy.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, March 7, 2025 with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 AM at Epiphany of the Lord Church, 1530 Norwalk Dr., Katy, Texas 77450, with a reception to follow at the church. A graveside service and committal will follow in Houston National Cemetery. The pallbearers will be her four grandsons, Matthew, Hudson, Grady, and Jake Henry, her nephew Troy Engnath, and brother-in-law, Charlie Williams. Carol will be dearly missed by many.
