

She was born on August 1, 1931, in Davenport, Iowa to Sam and Ruth Benjamin.
Carole received her Master's in Education (M.Ed.) and, as a dedicated educator, left a lasting mark on many young lives, inspiring countless students with her passion, wisdom, and hope. Her deep love for Christ truly shined throughout her life, and her ministry runs deep through all who knew her. Her faith was the cornerstone of her tenure on Earth, inspiring those around her. Carole was also an extremely accomplished seamstress, using her skills to support charitable causes. She was also passionate about organizing community church events, always finding ways to serve others. Carole also had a great love for gardening, which brought her joy.
Above all, her love of being a homemaker was her most prized and precious gift to us all. Home and the people in it are truly where her heart lies. Her favorite memories were those spent gathering around a table to share in her delight of cooking for others, creating lasting smiles and memories.
Left to cherish Carole’s memory are her daughters, Cindy (Mark) Hunter and Raeann (Paul) Hopfe; her grandchildren, Angela (Scott) Ritchie, Sheri Lynn (Glenn) Lee, Ashley (Steven) Edwards, Amy (Matthew) McKay-Hopfe, Jennifer Hopfe, and Cameron (Marta) Hopfe; and her great-grandchildren, Garrett Reddoch, Madison Enriquez, Everleigh Diaz, Hamilton, Alexander, McKinley, and Juliette Watson, Emma, Grace, George; Carole was predeceased by husbands Paul Domsalla (Sr.), Douglas Rich and son Paul Domsalla (Jr.); great granddaughter June Hopfe - infant daughter of Cameron (Marta) Hopfe. The family invites all who knew her to join in remembering her.
Carole’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched, and her unwavering faith and love for her family will continue to inspire those who carry her legacy forward.
