She worked at Hunter Field in Georgia for the Base Commander during WWII where she met her husband Donald M. Hopperstad. After raising their two children she worked in corporate America as an administrative secretary.
She is survived by her loving daughter Barbara Simpson and husband Robert, and her only grandson, Ryan Foster Simpson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Hopperstad and son, Mark Hopperstad.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday September 22, 2015 at 11:00 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
