Carrolyn Ione (Browning) Haley

Carrolyn was born September 18, 1934, in Houston, Texas to Walter and Della Browning. She attended University of Texas in Austin from 1952-1953 before returning home to work in the family business (Browning Auto Repair). She continued the entrepreneurial spirit by owning three businesses herself and managing rental properties until her passing. On January 22, 1955, she married Franklin H. Perkins. They raised one son, Joe, and three daughters, Denise (Gary), Caryn (Bob) and Hollie. On November 3, 1978, Carrolyn then married Irvin R. Haley. They remained married until his passing on February 28, 2007.

Carrolyn’s passion was her family, friends and her dogs. She was a grandmother to four grandsons and two granddaughters: Joe and Antoinette parents to Stephanie, Denise and Gary parents to Jason and Ryan, and Caryn and Bob parents to Bobby, Garrett and Kristen. She was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews that she loved and enjoyed.

A visitation for Carrolyn will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home.
