Casandra Credit

Cassandra RaShelle Credit, affectionately known as “Shell,” was born June 1, 1961, in Monroe, Louisiana, to her proud mother, Ida Julia Credit, and her father, Lewis Hagan. Shell was reared in Winnsboro, Louisiana, where she attended Franklin Parish schools from primary to middle school.

In 1973, Shell moved to Houston, Texas, and attended B.C. Elmore Middle School and later graduated from Forest Brook High School in 1979. Shell also attended Houston Community College, where she excelled in her academics. April 2002, Shell was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society – Omega Sigma Chapter. Shell later found a job she loved at a law firm, who was a valuable employee. Shell entered in communion with Lily Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her passing.

On April 15, 2023, Shell transitioned peacefully to her new home to be with the LORD Almighty. We will sorely miss this beautiful woman of God, who is absent from the body, but certainly present with the LORD.

Cassandra “Shell” Credit was preceded in death by her brother, Elvin Aktins, Jr. and her stepfather, Elvin Atkins, Sr. To cherish her memories and celebrate her life, Shell leaves the following: her most prized possession and only child, Courtney Roniel Cole of Houston, TX, whom she loved very dearly; her beautiful mother, Ida Atkins; two sisters, Lisa January of Port Arthur, TX, and Freeda Wilson of Channelview, Tx; one brother, Steven Atkins of Houston, TX; her father, Lewis Hagan of Monroe, LA; Pamela S.Robinson ,Rhonda F. Brown, Janice Smith, Sharontine Botley, Vincent Eric Smith, Kevin woods, Angela A Hagan,Pamela Washington ,Carolyn Hagan Allen ,Summer S. DeCatur ,Marchanita Williams, Tony Clark,James Jackson,Sharon Neil; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; friends and other loved ones.
