Cassita was born in Syosset, New York on May 21, 1991 to Trevor and Coleen (Chambers) McKenzie. The family moved to Houston the following year, and Cassita went on to graduate from Alief Kerr High School. She later attended Houston Community .College where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Pre Nursing. She was enrolled at the University of Houston and working toward her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Cassita was a generous, caring person whose memory will be treasured by her parents, Trevor & Coleen McKenzie; maternal grandparents, Sydney and Eileen Chambers; siblings, Omar and wife Amanda Davis, Peter, Tyra, Tiana and Maurice McKenzie, and Yanique ; nieces, Remy and Maya Davis, and Breyana ; High school sweetheart Thanh Huynh; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and countless friends.
She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Valda Ogilvie and Roberto McKenzie.
